One of our main goals at Catalate is to help our partners thrive with the ever-changing travel and tourism landscape. As operations plans look a bit different these days, we’ve built several new features to help our partners succeed. One of these tools is to enable reservations bookings, allowing guests who have previously purchased a pass, admission ticket or wristband, to schedule their time or date of arrival.

Whether it’s for capacity management or improved planning, our partners are using our reservation tool a few different ways that we’re excited to share with you.

Season Passholder Ski Day Reservations 

Will you require season passholders to make reservations this year? With the reservation tool, there’s no more guessing how many season passholders will show up to the mountain or at the amusement park, so you can plan ahead and limit day ticket sales if needed. 

Two of our partners, Middlebury Snowbowl and Rikert Nordic Center, are using this tool to monitor how many guests arrive each day, so they can limit day ticket sales and comply with capacity restrictions. You can easily collect a guest’s season pass number during checkout to validate their season pass speed up the redemption process. 

Guests can simply select the date they are visiting and complete their order without having to enter a credit card number. 

You can also use this for season passholders to reserve lessons and rentals. Our partners at Kissing Bridge are using this tool to sell lessons (see $30 option) as well as allow season passholders to reserve a lesson spot which is included in their season pass purchase. 

The reservation system works in tandem with our capacity tool, as well. If you need to limit overall capacity at the mountain or amusement park, we can configure daily limits across your dated-tickets and season pass reservations so you can easily comply with state regulations and keep your staff and guests safe.  

Whether you’re using this for peak days and holidays or the entire season, setup is fast and the user experience is simple, making your job a bit easier! 

Monitor Capacity in Lodges or Waterparks with Reservation Times  

We can also set up time slot bookings so your guests can reserve a time they are arriving in the lodge for a lunch ski break, a swim time at the water park or a time slot at the amusement park. 

Fallsview Waterpark is using this feature so hotel guests can reserve a waterpark swim time. Since the park needs to limit capacity to 50 people per time slot, we’ve set up a reservation system to enable v guests who have pre-purchased a waterpark package to reserve their visit time.

This allows the staff at Fallsview Waterpark to comply with state regulations and monitor how many guests are planning to enter the park at their allotted time slots. 

Offer Admission times for Events 

Is your resort planning an event that has free admission, like a brew fest or shopping experience? Our reservation tool makes it easy for your guests to reserve their arrival time, and easy for you to plan ahead! 

Ski Snow Valley is using time slot reservations for their annual ski swap event. Since the event is held indoors,, we’ve set up time slots for guests to select their time of arrival for the free event. Guests simply select their 30 minute time slot and date of shopping and complete their order without having to enter any credit card information. Staff is then able to monitor crowd levels and plan ahead for staffing.
