Meet the Team: Partner Sales

We always talk so much about data and pricing and revenue management and user experience and all the things that we think make Liftopia a significant part of and partner to the ski industry.  One of the things we rarely take the time to talk about – a primary thing that makes us pretty ok to work with – is the people who work at Liftopia. So, we’re going to take a few blog posts to introduce you to the folks that work here at Liftopia.com.

First up? Partner Sales:

Salespeople; you gotta love ‘em.  It takes a healthy dose of high self-esteem and confidence to make calls to people who are convinced they don’t need what it is you have to offer – and get rejected over and again.  Our sales team has confidence in spades.  We asked in our team survey “what level skier or snowboarder are you?” On average, the sales team self-assessed their ski/snowboard levels higher than any other team within Liftopia.  We got answers like the tongue-in-cheek over-confident “The Best Ever”, “Expert, I like to send” to the sandbagging self-deprecating answers like “In consistent decline since Y2K” and “I can get down anything, but it’s not always pretty”.  We’ll have a quiz on this after the intros.

I also spend a lot of time working internally to coordinate things that will optimize partner sales. I also spend time talking to partners and prospects on the phone and doing a lot of regional visits for onsite meetings and conferences.
